Pakistan on Monday voiced deep outrage over the remarks made by an Israeli official that his country was thinking of launching a nuclear bomb on Gaza, the territory where Hamas and Israeli forces have been fighting for more than a month. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement saying, “We are appalled by statement of an Israeli minister threatening nuclear force against Palestinians.” Speaking on Sunday, Israeli Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu stated that launching a “nuclear bomb” on the Gaza Strip is “an option,” the local Anadolu Agency reported. The Foreign Office stated that the statement shows a desire for genocide and ethnic cleansing. “This is a wake up call for int’l community to the threat posed by Israeli aggression to regional peace, security & stability,” the ministry of foreign affairs stated.
