Effective leadership, stable programs, flexibility, and a peaceful foreign policy were all mentioned by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed on Wednesday as important elements in China’s rise to international prominence.

He emphasised China’s peaceful ascent to global leadership without invasion, aggression, occupation, or colonisation in his opening remarks while chairing the “China at 75: A Journey of Progress, Transformation and Global Leadership,” which celebrated 75 years since the People’s Republic of China was founded. He attributed China’s success to peaceful leadership, stability, adaptability, and a dedication to learning. The Pak-China Institute held the meeting.

He said that the relationship between China and Pakistan is special because it is based on a deep strategic partnership rather than being transactional or tactical.

In his reflection on recent Chinese history, Senator Mushahid Hussain summed up the country’s 75-year history in what he called the “3 R’s”: deng xiaoping’s reform, chairman Mao’s revolution, and President Xi Jinping’s peaceful transition.

Speaking of his encounter at an American think tank in Washington, DC, where he was asked, “Which side are you on?” Senator Mushahid Hussain responded, “Pakistan is on the right side of history, and the Asian Century determines the course of contemporary history, where China is our reliable strategic partner.”

He also praised Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s efforts to invite Palestinian students from Gaza to study in Pakistan and to advocate for Dr. Afia Siddiqui at the highest echelons of the Biden Administration.
