Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday visited Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Zhao Leji wherein they agreed to promote interaction and cooperation between the NPC and the Parliament of Pakistan.
While on a five-day official visit to China, the prime minister put up a number of proposals to improve parliamentary exchanges, such as boosting communication between the China-Pakistan Friendship Groups and sending delegations of young lawmakers back and forth.
In addition to congratulating Chairman Zhao on his successful call of the NPC’s annual session, PM Shehbaz offered Chairman Zhao high praise for his services to Chinese politics and society.
He cited Zhao Leji’s significant role in the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) and the National People’s Party (NPP), which demonstrated the confidence the Chinese people and leadership had in him.
