‘Pak-Afghan improved relations crucial for regional peace’

ISLAMABAD: Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, the chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, stressed on Sunday that the ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan must be strengthened and that nobody should be permitted to sabotage efforts to achieve peace between the two neighbours. He emphasised the necessity of bettering ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan and the significance of preserving peace in the area while speaking to the media and accompanying key religious leaders. “There is not single illegal student or teacher in any of the seminaries in Pakistan,” Ashrafi said in statement that underlined Pakistan’s position on Afghan nationals living within its borders. Police should speak with the concerned seminary’s management if they have any information.
