Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, denied on Thursday that Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League, had made a decision to return to his home country as part of an agreement with the transitional administration. “The PML-N or any other political party has ‘no soft corner’ in the interim administration.“How can a caretaker government accomplish such a deal?” he said in a conversation with WE (World Echo) News, a digital media platform. In response to a query on the PML-N chief’s impending return to Pakistan on October 21, the prime minister said that he had taken a plane yesterday from London to Saudi Arabia. Nawaz Sharif departed the country in accordance with a court ruling, Kakar noted, “under the nose of Imran Khan’s government, and not the caretaker setup.” He did, however, state that Nawaz Sharif would encounter certain legal challenges should he decide to return to politics. “Legal remedies contain the answers to these legal questions,” he declared. According to Kakar, every leader, including Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, and Imran Khan, must pursue the appropriate legal action based on their unique circumstances. According to him, Pakistan is witnessing the emergence of “regimental camps” and has become a battlefield for political contests.

He emphasised that attaining political stability and economic stability are closely related, making both elements extremely important. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan demanded an immediate end to hostilities on Thursday and harshly denounced the “indiscriminate and disproportionate” use of force by Israeli authorities against the civilian population in Gaza. In her weekly press briefing, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahrah Baloch expressed Pakistan’s grave concern over the rapidly worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza as a result of the “inhumane blockade and collective punishment by Israeli forces”. The announcement was made in reaction to a surprise Hamas onslaught on Saturday that, according to officials, claimed 1,200 Israeli lives. Israel maintained a “total siege” to prevent food and fuel from reaching the 2.3 million Palestinians living in the enclave, many of whom are impoverished and dependent on aid. The choice to shut off fuel, water, and electricity supplies was deemed “unjust and should be reversed as it would severely impact the lives of millions of people in the enclave,” according to the spokeswoman. “Over seven decades of illegal foreign occupation, aggression, and disrespect for international law, including UNSC resolutions that recognise the inalienable right to self-determination of the Palestinian people,” the speaker continued, “is a sad reminder and a direct consequence of the current cycle of aggression and violence.” According to the FO spokeswoman, Israel’s “escalatory and provocative actions in recent months” have resulted in Pakistan continuously warning of the catastrophic implications. “The international community must act urgently to address the situation due to its unprecedented gravity,” the speaker stated.

The Balochistan government has made progress, and the prime minister expressed trust in it while assuring full federal support. Prime Minister Kakar emphasised at the meeting that Balochistan’s socioeconomic growth was essential for maintaining the province’s stability and progress. The COAS emphasised that the Pakistan Army would work in tandem with law enforcement agencies and other government departments to support enforcement actions against a wide range of illegal activities with full force in order to prevent resource theft and the economic losses the nation suffered as a result of these activities. The development of that industry will lead to more economic activity and job prospects for the local population, according to the prime minister, who noted that Balochistan is rich in mining and minerals. Aside from the development of human resources, he continued, investments in agriculture and information technology should also ...
