The Minister praised the historical contribution of attorneys to the advancement of the rule of law, the primacy of the Constitution, and democratic customs. Murtaza Solangi believed that justice was a necessary component of a developed society and that attorneys served as a link between the bar and the bench. The minister expressed hope that SCBA office bearers will keep up their crucial role in promoting the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.
Based on a year-over-year comparison, the October Consumer Price Index (CPI) was recorded at 26.9%, according to the most recent statistics provided on Wednesday by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). As a result, authorities began a nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration on Wednesday. Undocumented foreign nationals are being apprehended and sent to detention camps across the nation, including Karachi, Rawalpindi, and other locations, before being sent back to their home countries. On Tuesday, the government’s crackdown on unauthorised immigrants, which includes hundreds of thousands of Afghan nationals, was announced by acting interior minister Sarfraz Bugti. The crackdown will begin on Thursday, November 2. The deadline for voluntary returns, which was established for November 1st, is this Wednesday. “Only two days are left for a voluntary return,” Bugti stated in a videotaped message.
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered the administration to declare a citywide emergency on Wednesday, blaming the current government for the smog-related conditions in Lahore. When the LHC heard pleas requesting the court to get involved in the case, the orders were made. Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhwa, along with other authorities, appeared before the court during today’s hearing. The government was ordered by the court not to open factories that produce black smoke, and school and college students were told to alert the authorities to any such factories. In order to tell students about the ruling regarding factories that create black smoke, it also instructed the commissioner and other officers to visit schools and institutions.

The acting prime minister went on to clarify that it was government policy for all registered political parties, regardless of size, to have equal rights and opportunity to run in the next elections.

The orders were given by the court during the hearing of the first-ever intra-court appeals (ICAs) against its majority ruling on September 15, which invalidated the accountability law’s changes. The hearing was postponed until the whole decision about the legislation limiting the chief justice’s authority was made public. Two ICAs were taken up by the larger bench, which was led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa and included Justices Aminuddin Khan, Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Athar Minallah, and Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi. The federal government filed one of the ICAs, and former SSGCL managing director Zuhair Ahmed Siddiqui filed the other.
