Pakistan will continue to offer its unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support for a just resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the pertinent UN Security Council Resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people, according to President Dr. Arif Alvi, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, and Forces Chiefs. President Dr. Arif Alvi stated in his speech on Kashmir Solidarity Day that the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been fighting for the past 76 years to exercise their right to self-determination. The UN General Assembly, according to the president, adopts a resolution every year endorsing the realisation of the right to self-determination for those who are occupied by foreign powers. Unfortunately, this unalienable right has not been exercised by the Kashmiri people.
Strongly denouncing the terrorist attack on the police station in Tehsil Daraban in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday was Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar. Early on Monday morning, a group of unidentified terrorists attacked the Chaudhwan police station in Daraban tehsil, reportedly leaving at least ten policemen dead and six injured. The prime minister asked Allah Almighty to raise the ranks of the police officers who died on the battlefield. PM Kakar praised the police for their valiant efforts in battling the terrorists. Additionally, he gave the concerned authorities instructions to treat the attack victims as medically as possible. Terrorists’ cowardice will never be able to weaken our determination to uphold law and order.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MOIB) has established a media helpline to address complaints of both local and foreign journalists during elections, according to a statement made on Monday by Murtaza Solangi, the acting federal minister of information, broadcasting, and parliamentary affairs. Speaking at the media helpline’s opening ceremony, he stressed that it was essential to enhance and improve operations in the current digital media era. Any browser would be able to access the media-compliant application, said Murtaza Solangi. According to him, the app was created to make it easier for local and foreign media outlets covering the general election in 2024. He said that the Caretaker Government was established and that it provided the Pakistani Election Commission with the necessary assistance to guarantee a free and transparent election.
In the Dera Ismail Khan area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a late-night attack on a police station resulted in the martyrdom of at least ten policemen and the injuries of six more, according to police on Monday. According to authorities, at three in the morning, terrorists in the district’s Tehsil Daraban attacked the police station with heavy weaponry. They further said that the injured have been moved to DHQ Hospital. With grenades and heavy gunfire, the terrorists stormed the police station from all sides. The law enforcement agency said that although the police responded in kind, the terrorists managed to flee during the night. The police claim that the quick reaction team has arrived with extra force, and that the troops have sealed off the area and begun a search operation to find the militants who are escaping.
Chief of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Jahangir Khan Tareen, stated that the party’s goal is to form a stable government upon the conclusion of the current five-year term in general elections in 2024. Speaking at a Lodhran election rally on Monday, Jahangir Tareen expressed his hope that a strong administration will be created during the general elections because weak governments have always led to issues and uncertainty in the nation. According to Jahangir Tareen, the Lodhran poll this time will be historic and the IPP will win by a wide margin. In a message on February 5, Kashmir Solidarity Day, the president stated, “Every year, the UN General Assembly adopts a resolution expressing unequivocal support for the realisation of the right to self-determination for people under foreign occupation.” He stated that for the previous 76 years, the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have been fighting to realise their right to self-determination. IIOJK is one among the world’s most militarised zones today. The atmosphere that Kashmiris live in is one of intimidation and terror, the president remarked.

He asserted that when minorities are granted rights in line with Quaid-i-Azam’s vision, the nation will grow stronger. Minorities, he claimed, had made significant contributions to practically every aspect of life, particularly the health and educational fields. According to Murtaza Solangi, caretaker administration is a constitutional arrangement that will guarantee the staging of free and transparent elections.
