He claimed that Pakistan’s global identity was embodied in Himalayan pink salt.
On Wednesday, Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman declared that he will call a session of the Punjab Assembly upon receiving a request. The Supreme Court decided on Wednesday to reject retired brigadier Ali Khan’s request to declare the 2024 general elections invalid. The hearing was conducted by a three-person bench led by Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Qazi Faiz Isa. The bench also includes Justices Musarrat Hilali and Muhammad Ali Mazhar. Through his petition, Citizen Brigadier Retired Ali Khan has called for a reelection and a probe into claims of election tampering. On February 19, the Ministry of Defence sent Ali Khan with a notice from the Supreme Court; however, the petitioner, a retired brigadier, did not show up for court. The Additional Attorney General reported to the court that Ali Khan’s residence had been inspected by police. He also received a warning from the Ministry of Defence.
The United States has once again demanded a thorough and transparent investigation into “any claims of interference or fraud” in the general elections scheduled for February 8 according to Pakistani laws and processes,. In response to questions over the explosive rigging claims made by former commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaquat Ali Chatha, US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller demanded an investigation. “Any allegations of fraud or meddling should be thoroughly and openly probed in compliance with Pakistan’s own legal framework and protocols. And it naturally covers this assertion as well,” Miller answered. Miller, the spokeswoman, responded that the establishment of a new government was a “internal” Pakistani matter when questioned about US policy towards recognising the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) mandate.
The verdict in the contempt of court case against Islamabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz Memon and other top officers was reserved by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday. On March 1, the contempt case’s reserved verdict will be made public. An IHC judge named Babar Sattar heard the contempt case brought against Islamabad DC. The DC Islamabad’s unconditional apologies was rejected by the court, and the DC was also barred from travelling overseas. The DC Islamabad has been given a deadline by the court to respond to the showcase notice by Monday. DC Islamabad claimed he was supposed to give a pilgrimage and so did not appear before the court in the contempt of court case yesterday, Tuesday. Irfan Nawaz, DC Islamabad, also claimed to have appeared in court.

President Ahmed Nadeem Khan and PMDC Managing Director Asad Ahmed.
According to state-run Radio Pakistan, Information Minister Murtaza Solangi stated that there was no impasse between political parties over discussions about forming a new government. In an interview with the Islamabad media, he stated that no party was able to obtain a simple majority. The minister emphasised that February 29 is the deadline for calling a meeting of the National Assembly in accordance with the Constitution. “We still have a few days to call a meeting of the recently elected Lower House,” Solangi stated, stressing that the Constitution was quite detailed and provided remedies in the event that political parties were unable to come to an agreement.
