Nuclear tests made country’s defence invincible: Tasneem Qureshi

SARGODHA: Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi, state minister for manufacturing and industry, stated on Sunday that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto served as theleader of thePakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which launched the country’s nuclear program without succumbing to external pressure.

Speaking about Youm-e-Takbeer, he claimed that Shaheed Bhutto took the courageous decision to make Pakistan a nuclear nation. He continued by saying that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed carried on her father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s mission. and brought the nation missile technology.

The state minister said on May 28,1998, the government of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) played a vital role to make Pakistan a nuclear state after conducting successful nuclear tests.

Tasneem said that the country was celebrating the silver jubilee of becoming an atomic power which was a clear massage to enemies that defence of Pakistan was invincible.
