Not enough being done against digital terrorism under law: DG ISPR

According to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), insufficient action is being taken against “digital terrorism” in accordance with the law, hence facilitating the dissemination of propaganda and fake news throughout the nation.
The military spokesperson stated that the country’s laws were the first line of defence against “digital terrorism” at a press briefing in Rawalpindi.
“Unfortunately, you can see that lies, propaganda, fake news, and doctored images continue to spread while confusion is created in the public’s mind,” he added. “The country’s law has to control and curb digital terrorism.”
“However, the law is not acting against [digital terrorism] in the proper manner.” However, Pakistan Army is taking the situation seriously.
