According to the rulings of the Islamabad High Court, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear that no one would be permitted to hold a sit-in or any assembly in the Federal Capital.
“The Islamabad High Court has made it very clear in its orders that there is no permission to hold a gathering, rally, march, or sit-in,” he told reporters in the Federal Capital today. According to him, the government has an obligation to carry out the rulings of the Islamabad High Court in their entirety.
In response to a query, the interior minister stated that no application for authorisation to hold the protest rally on Sunday had been received as of yet. He stated that those who break the law and Section 144 will face consequences.
