Multan: Shakeel Anjum and his team thronged to congratulate on being elected for the twelfth time as president of Press Club Multan, on the second day as well. A large number of journalists, including political, social and other classes, presented bouquets of flowers and distributed sweets to Shakeel Anjum and his colleagues. Federal Minister of Information Maryam Aurangzeb, Federal Minister of State Abdul Rehman Kanjo sent messages of congratulations while MQM South Punjab President Sheikh Karamat Ali. President of Hadith Youth Force Qari Hidayatullah, President of People’s Lawyers Forum South Punjab Ghiyasul Haq Sheikh, Abida Bukhari, social leader Mohtsham Tareen and senior journalists came to the press club and congratulated Shakeel Anjum and his team. Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb while congratulating said that the welfare of journalists under the leadership of the newly elected body President Press Club Shakeel Anjum said we will continue our struggle for welfare, the newly elected officials will fulfill the trust of journalists, Abdul Rehman Kanju said that our government always believes in freedom of expression, and is hopeful that Shakeel Anjum and his team will speed up the development projects of journalists and press club. Speaking on these occasions, President Press Club Shakeel Anjum said that Multan Press Club is the fourth largest press club of Pakistan, which represents all the journalists of South Punjab, our struggle for the welfare of journalists will be faster than before, especially the journalist colony, the work on mega projects like Colony Phase 2 will be accelerated, efforts will be made to align journalists with modern requirements including education, health and basic facilities, and all the legitimate wishes of journalists who have expressed confidence in us will be implemented. Insha Allah practical measures will be taken at all levels for democracy and freedom of expression and the welfare of journalists in Pakistan.
