Need to eradicate ‘Kalashnikov culture’ from country, says CJP Isa

Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Qazi Faez Isa, stated on Wednesday that  the “Kalashnikov culture” needed to be eliminated from the nation. He said this while three-judge panel, led by Chief Justice Isa and including Justices  Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Musarrat Hilali, heard suspect’s  post-arrest bail application in case involving the theft of firearms from  residence. Sections 412 (dishonestly obtaining stolen goods in  the  commission of dacoity) and 395 (punishment for dacoity) of the  Pakistan Penal Code were cited against the defendant, Kashif.
