Nawaz Sharif not taking a back seat ; insists Maryam after Shehbaz named as candidate for PM slot

Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, refuted on Wednesday the notion that Nawaz  Sharif, the leader of the party, had withdrawn from public life after proposing his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif for prime minister. According to Maryam, Nawaz will oversee the PML-N-led administrations in Punjab and the Central region in addition to being actively involved in politics for the next five years. The lawmaker, who is vying to become Punjab’s chief minister,  claimed that in the three previous administrations headed by the  PML-N leader, her party had resounding majority of support from the  populace. “… he has made it clear in his election speeches that he will not be  part of any coalition government.”
