August will see a number of events declared by the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), one of which is the raising of the national flag in seminaries and mosques from August 1 to August 30.
Along with commemorating ‘Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir’ on August 5, the council will hold a number of seminars all month long that will centre on Pakistan’s stability.
Preventing political instability in the nation was highlighted by PUC Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi during a news conference held at Jamia Manzurl Islamia Lahore. He said that the “Azm-e-Istehkam Pakistan” (Resolve for Pakistan’s Stability) project is an important part of the National Action Plan and that, under the current circumstances, national unity is needed. He emphasised that this approach could not bring about peace unless it is carried out in its entirety.
