Attaullah Tarar, Minister of Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture, criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for engaging in “chaos and anarchy” politics, pointing to its violent May 9 arson scheme.
Speaking to reporters at the Nur Khan Airbase, the minister claimed that the people of Pakistan desired welfare and progress politics, which are reflected in the government’s people-friendly policies under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
With the Pakistan Stock Exchange surpassing the historic milestone of 100,000 points and inflation falling from 32% to 6.9%, he said the country’s economy is booming. Foreign exchange reserves are also growing as a result of a sharp rise in exports and remittances, which reached $8.8 billion in the first quarter.
