Naqvi nominated for PCB chairman slot

The coveted position of chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board  (PCB) has been recommended to Mohsin Naqvi, the acting chief  minister of Punjab. Mohsin Naqvi has been nominated by acting prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar to lead the PCB management committee. Mohsin Naqvi, though, has also been proposed for the PCB’s  governing council.

Zaka Ashraf had resigned from the PCB office a few days prior, and  the prime minister had accepted his resignation. At the moment, Mohsin Naqvi is Punjab’s acting chief minister.
