MWMC launches special cleanliness drive

Multan: On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir, the Waste Management Company has issued an order for special cleaning in the inner city areas. The staff cleaned the piles of garbage in the narrow streets. On this occasion, mosques and Taraweeh places in the inner city were washed and sprinkled with lime. Chief Executive Officer Shahid Yaqoob also inspected the staff through the online attendance system of the cleaning campaign.  Shahid Yaqoob said that all urban union councils will be completely cleaned once in the month of Ramadan, while the company has achieved a prominent position in Punjab in the campaign of cleaning half faith. Large piles and dirt depots will be cleared. Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir has said that on the instructions of the Punjab Government, a wheat purchase campaign has been started in the district and more than 184 thousand metric tons of wheat will be purchased by the district administration and the food department.  He visited Jalalpur Pirwala yesterday while inaugurating the wheat purchase campaign.
