Motorways to remain closed

In response to repair work beginning on November 22, authorities have stated that several motorway segments will be closed.
The news coincides with the PTI’s planned protest gathering in Islamabad on November 24 to call for the repeal of recently adopted constitutional reforms and the release of the party’s founder and members.
The National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP) has released a public notice that states, “The general public is hereby informed that due to road maintenance,…motorways will remain closed starting from 8:00 PM on November 22, 2024.”
The following highways will be closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday until further notice:
M-1: Peshawar to Islamabad M-2: Lahore to Islamabad
M-3: Abdul Hakeem to Lahore
M-4: Multan to Pindi Bhattian
M-14 Yarik to Hakla
Sialkot to Lahore via M-11
