Minister vows a world free of terrorism

Pakistan, according to Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, is committed to eradicating extremism and terrorism from the world.
He stated that both kinetic and non-kinetic steps are being taken to eradicate terrorism from its source, while speaking at a conference in Islamabad today.
According to the Minister, radical trends have severely harmed the nation and posed a threat to social cohesiveness, peace, and harmony.
According to Khawaja Asif, Pakistan is leading the way in the war against terrorism in spite of making unheard-of financial and personal sacrifices.
In order to create a peaceful society, he underlined the necessity of eliminating extremist messaging and its recruitment hubs.
According to the Minister, the main prerequisites for a lasting peace are the mobilisation of social forces and the formation of societal consensus against extremism.
