ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Rana Tanveer Hussain, the federal minister for education and professional training, urged young people to reject the confrontational and divisive politics of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan and instead adopt new technologies to help them make wise choices and advance in life.
While speaking to the media, he declared, “There is an urgent need to develop skills in the young generation, build their fresh minds, and excel their expertise in various fields like information technology where the possibilities are endless.” He added that fostering young people’s moral development was essential for the country’s advancement and urged the students to avoid politics based on hatred, speak the truth, and support themselves through moral means.
Replying to a question, he said we all should understand the difference between construction and destruction, simultaneously the difference between protest and terrorism, adding, the May 9 incidents were a well-planned propaganda to create rifts between the young generation and the national institutions, adding, Niazi only sowed the seeds of hatred in the minds of the young generation by telling them lies.
To another question, he replied that promoting skills, technical and vocational education for youth is a top priority for the current government.Meanwhile, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has stated that tough decisions taken by government have started yielding positive results. In an interview, he said the government is focusing on revival of the CPEC and Chinese investment is pouring into the Gwadar Free Zone at a rapid pace.
The Minister said a Trade and Expo Centre has been completed in Gwadar in a record six-month time.He said the second phase of Karakoram Highway and the Main Line-I project of Railways are also in progress. Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the need to develop industries on modern lines, in order to steer the economy in the right direction. He said the biggest challenge for the government is to meet the development budget in prevailing economic situation. The Minister said in the next fiscal plan, the government will focus on projects that are near to completion.
