Aneeq Ahmed, the federal minister for religious affairs and interfaith harmony, stressed on Thursday the need to revive the idea of the Ummah and called for stepped-up efforts to bring the Ummah together with the backing of the global community. This was talked about in an appointment with Malaysian Ambassador Muhammad Azhar Mazlan at Minister of Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmad’s office. They had a detailed discussion about Hajj plans as well as bilateral relations, economic stability, and the advancement of religious peace. The minister stressed how important it is to revive the idea of Ummah. He remarked that more work needed to be done to bring the Ummah together and gain the trust of the international community. He also emphasised that Pakistan and Malaysia could both learn a lot from one another.
