Dr. Javed Akram, the Punjab Health Minister, stressed the need of leading a healthy, balanced lifestyle in order to prevent strokes. During the 23rd International Workshop on Stroke Prevention, which took place at a nearby hotel, the minister gave a special speech and commended the organisers for tackling this important health issue. Citing depression as the primary cause, Dr. Javed Akram emphasised the value of guidelines and case studies in the prevention of strokes. He exhorted people to include exercise in their daily routines, pointing out that it is crucial to preventing heart attacks and strokes. The minister discussed the Muslim perspective while relying entirely on Allah (SWT), drawing from his faith. He gave thanks to Allah for giving him the chance to become a doctor and lessen suffering in the world.
