Minister, Russian envoy  pledge to strengthen trade ties

 On Thursday, Dr. Gohar Ejaz, the Minister of Commerce, was visited by Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Danila V. Ganich, who spoke with him on bilateral trade relations between the two countries. According to a press statement released here, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to promoting closer cooperation in order to boost the amount of bilateral commerce during the meeting. This pledge is a reflection of our common desire to strengthen Pakistan and Russia’s long-standing friendship and economic alliance. Pakistan and Russia’s overall trade as of the fiscal year 2022–2023 was US$ 920 million. During this time, Pakistan’s imports from Russia came to US$ 846 million, while its exports to Russia came to US$ 74 million.
