On Wednesday, Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global Rating Agency representatives met with Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister of Finance and Revenue, at the Finance Division.
According to a news release, senior ministry officials and a group from S&P Global, led by Andrew David Wood and Yee Farn Phua, directors of Sovereign and International Public Finance Ratings, attended the meeting.
The minister presented an update on Pakistan’s current economic status and welcomed the S&P delegation.
He emphasised Pakistan’s improved macroeconomic statistics as well as the successful conclusion of the country’s nine-month Stand By Arrangement (SBA) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
