Abdul Aleem Khan, the Minister for Privatisation, Board of Investment, and Communication, met with notable business leaders from Tajikistan on Thursday to talk about potential ways to improve bilateral trade and investment relations between the two nations.
The meeting was attended by more than 10 significant corporate groups from the construction, banking, pharmaceutical, textile, and airline industries. According to a press statement, the investors showed a strong interest in building an import and export products terminal close to the Pakistan-Tajikistan border.
The minister declared that all economic sectors are open to Central Asian businessmen and promised every assistance and favour that might be extended to business-to-business transactions. He underlined that Pakistan can represent a sizable market for commerce and agriculture.
