Minister for Industries and Commerce SM Tanveer urges effective strategy to increase cotton production

Multan: Caretaker Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce SM Tanveer along with Chairman PCGA Vice President Chem of Commerce visited Shujabad Weaving Mills on Qadir purana Bypass Khanewal Road.  Mian Qaiser Shabbir welcomed them and presented them with a bouquet and inspected various departments of the mills under the guidance of Technical Director Shujabad Weaving Mills Chaudhary Shaukat.  The process should keep moving so that the economy is stable. Industries support the country’s economy along with creating employment opportunities.  He said that in order to supply raw material, we also have to increase domestic cotton production, for which every sector related to it has to play a role. However, efforts are being made to ensure the resolution of as many problems as possible. On this occasion, Chairman of Pakistan Cotton Yarns Association, Choudhry Waheed Arshad, Vice President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Multan, Sheikh Muhammad Asim Saeed and Haji Malik Muhammad Akram. Mian Qaiser Shabbir also called for stability in dollar price, reduction in interest rates, stability and reduction in electricity and gas prices so that obstacles in the availability of raw materials for industrial production can be removed, which will provide relief in the cost of doing business. Mian Muhammad Tariq, Rauf Mukhtar, Malik Wasim Akram, Haji Malik Munawar Iqbal, Haji Malik Nadeem Iqbal, Azhar Saeed Akhtar, Ijaz Khan, Salman Rashid and others were also present.
