Minister for devising mechanism to counter fake news

Atullah Tarar, the federal minister of information and broadcasting, stressed on Thursday the necessity of developing a system at the level of media to media and government to government to combat false information about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor ( CPEC). Ataullah Tarar made these remarks when the minister was visited by Jiang Zaidong, the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China. Ataullah Tarar received congratulations from the Chinese Ambassador on taking up the position of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. During the discussion, topics including the China-Pakistan Information Corridor, Pakistan-China strategic relations, and continued collaboration in the media and entertainment industry were covered. In order to stop false information about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), talks were held about how to increase media cooperation between the two nations.
