Minister directs NHA to complete projects

Professor Ahsan Iqbal, the federal minister of planning, development, and special initiatives, gave the National Highway Authority (NHA) instructions to speed up building on ongoing infrastructure projects while removing bottlenecks as soon as possible on Thursday.

During a meeting that he chaired, he examined the portfolio of NHA and the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and made these remarks.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Communication, the Secretary of the Ministry of Planning, Chairman NHA, and other pertinent stakeholders attended the meeting, according to a news release released by the ministry.

The minister received a thorough briefing on PSDP (2024–25) and the current NHA portfolio during the meeting.

The relevant parties were instructed by the minister to remove any barriers preventing building on ongoing projects.
