Minister directs EV stations at all petrol pumps

Rana Tanveer Hussain, the Minister of Industries and Production, gave the Capital Development Authority (CDA) instructions on Thursday to establish charging stations for electric vehicles at every petrol station in Islamabad.
He commended the CDA’s efforts to encourage the usage of eco-friendly vehicles in the capital while chairing the fourth meeting of the Electric Vehicles (EV) Policy.
According to a news release, the minister confirmed that Islamabad would be transformed into a model city in keeping with the Prime Minister’s vision.
Additionally, he declared that a new policy on electric vehicles would be released shortly.
He disclosed intentions to give out free electric bikes to the top 120 Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education students during the meeting.
