Minister chairs meeting on PPP projects

Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, presided over a meeting on Monday to discuss the status of current projects carried out within the framework of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

According to a news release, senior officials from federal and provincial ministries attended the meeting, along with Senator Musadik Malik, the Minister of Petroleum, Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Secretary Awais Manzur Sumra, Secretary Railways, Secretary Economic Affairs Division, and PPP CEO Malik Ahmed Khan.

The attendees talked about the choices made at the prior meeting and looked over the implementation reports for the ongoing projects.

As the meeting’s chair, the minister underlined the value of fostering a welcoming investment climate, noting that investors looked for returns and that the government needed to strike a balance between its interests and investment prospects.
