Aneeq Ahmed, the Minister of Religious Affairs, is in Cairo, Egypt to take part in the 8th World Fatwa Conference, which is being hosted at Egyptian Fatwa House and organised by the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Bodies worldwide. Scholars, ministers, and muftis from 100 countries attended the meeting, which was held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to a statement released here on Thursday. He expressed his profound gratitude to Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Ibrahim Allam, for his cordial invitation and hospitality throughout the conference. He underlined how crucial it is to have a conversation on “Fatwa and the Challenges of the Third Millennium” in order to acknowledge the distinct and complex difficulties that the Muslim Ummah is currently facing.
