Media assembly organized on the theme of “National Unity

Lahore: A media assembly was organized on Thursday, June 15, 2023 under the management of Lahore Garrison University Department of Communication on the theme of “National Unity” in which print electronic and social media experts participated. Mujibur Rahman Shami, Barrister Ehtsham, Farhat Abbas Shah, Habib Akram, Professor Dr. Bushra, Mansoor Afaq, Ashraf Sohail and others expressed their views in the seminar.

The participants highlighted the role of media in promoting national unity, unity and harmony and agreed that it is the responsibility of every journalist, anchor person and YouTuber to check the health of their news and the nation. Avoid harmful analysis. It is very important to keep national security and unity in mind while talking.

The speakers affirmed that fake news, disinformation and biased misrepresentations cause chaos and division in society. It is a collective responsibility to keep alive the tradition of tolerance and tolerance for the promotion of peaceful coexistence in the society

Mujibur Rahman Shami said the invasion of fake news has to be stopped. Transparent legislation is essential to hold the media accountable.

Farhat Abbas Shah said national consciousness and sense of responsibility for journalism is the most important need of the hour.

The participants praised Lahore Garrison University for holding a discussion on the role and responsibilities of media for national unity and said that other educational institutions should also hold such discussions so that our young generation can find the right direction.
