Shehbaz Sharif, the president of the PML-N and a former prime minister, stated on Wednesday that the
violence on May 9 was the result of treason on the part of the PTI, which he said intended to weaken the Pakistan Army. After making an appearance before a Lahore accountability court (AC) about the hearing regarding the Ramzan Sugar Mills issue, he addressed the media and said he was unaware that PTI would prove to be a “destructive force.” He said that Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Terrorist Party, had broken the law when constructing his home in Bani Gala, Islamabad.
