LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that as part of the petroleum relief program, low-income poor people would receive a subsidy of Rs. 50 per liter
He stated that low-income consumers who own motorcycles, rickshaws, 800 cc cars, and other small cars will receive the petroleum relief while serving as the meeting’s chair during a review of the relief package. He stated that the petroleum subsidy program would soon begin, and that a thorough plan would be developed with the assistance of the pertinent departments to ensure the program’s successful implementation. He claimed that low-income individuals used motorcycles, rickshaws, and small cars, and that the petroleum subsidy would help the underprivileged. The government was attempting to assist the underprivileged in any way it could.
Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik briefed about the strategy for providing petroleum subsidy to the low-income segment of society.
Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Advisor to PM Ahad Cheema, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Finance, Secretary Petroleum and high-ranking officials attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday appreciated the Pakistan Cricket Board and provincial governments of Sindh and Punjab for successful organisation of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL8).
The premier called the final match between the Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans a “nail-biting finish to the 8th edition” of the PSL.
“My appreciation is due to Chairman PCB, CMs of Sindh & Punjab, provincial administrations, police & the participating teams for making the event a huge success. Spectators kept it animated with their energy & zeal,” he wrote.
