Kaira asks all political parties to show unity

 Qamar Zaman Kaira, a former federal minister and senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), urged all political parties to get together and demand that the Pakistani election commission provide the precise date of the country’s general elections on Tuesday. Speaking to the media, he urged the Pakistani Election Commission (ECP) to make the general election date public right away in order to address the “uncertainty” surrounding the polls. He declared that in order to stabilise the nation’s political and economic environments, it is the ECP’s duty to hold free and fair elections.“The election schedule ought to be announced as soon as possible,” he stated, noting that the PPP is the only political party that has consistently worked to advance democracy in the nation without ever running afoul of the law.
