Judiciary should take May 9 cases to logical conclusion: Attaullah Tarar

Attaullah Tarar, the federal minister of information and broadcasting, asked the courts on Thursday to bring the proceedings pertaining to May 9, 2024 to a fair conclusion.

Speaking at a press conference alongside Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, he questioned why the courts had not pursued these cases to their inevitable end. He said that the attackers’ identities were known and that there was ample proof in the May 9 instances.

He pointed out that it was even evident who went inside the different buildings and who waited outside to give orders.

Tarar claimed that although Imran’s three sisters participated in the attacks on May 9, none of them were prosecuted.
