It has been stressed by Syed Jamal Shah, the Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, that all educational institutions should adopt the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from Khutba e Hajj. He was speaking during the opening ceremony of an international conference on sirah, civic virtue, and tolerance that was held at the Faisal Masjid Campus of the Islamic Research Institute (IRI) of the International Centre of Excellence for Sirah Studies. The conference was organised in collaboration with the governments of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Speaking at the conference’s opening ceremony, Syed Jamal Shah stated that civic duty was personified by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). According to him, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) always emphasised how important it is to treat others with love and consideration.
