Israeli minister calls for dropping nuclear bomb on Gaza

Palestinian Territories: Over 9,770 Palestinians have died as result of Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, including about 4,800  children, according to Ashraf Al-Qudra, spokesman for the health ministry in the Gaza Strip.

Amichay Eliyahu, the Israeli Heritage Minister, got into trouble when he proposed using a nuclear weapon on Gaza and said that the government should destroy Gaza while treating its detainees as collateral damage.

After making remarks that prompted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration to take action, the heritage minister was suspended from cabinet meetings “until further notice” on Sunday.

Netanyahu’s coalition member Amichay Eliyahu said these things in an interview with Israel’s Kol Barama radio. He was not pleased with the extent of Israel’s response to the strikes on October 7.
