Ishaq Dar vows fulfilling all Int’l obligations within stipulated time

Islamabad: The government’s resolve to completing all of its international obligations within the allotted time has been reaffirmed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. While speaking to an Asian Development Bank mission in Islamabad today, he made clear his resolve. The Pakistani Finance Minister also reaffirmed his country’s commitment to keeping its end of the bargain established with the IMF in the recently signed Standby Arrangement. He recognised the value of ADB’s contribution to Pakistan’s sustainable development. Ishaq Dar briefed the delegation on the nation’s present economic situation.

The delegation ledy by ADB’s Country Director Mr. Young Ye appreciated the reforms and policy decisions introduced by the government to achieve sustainable economic development.  He also extended ADB’s support to Pakistan specifically for enhancing food security in the country and rehabilitation of the flood affected people.

The delegation also thanked the Finance Minister for ensuring fast track progress of various development projects being executed by ADB.
