Ishaq Dar, the minister of finance and revenue, presided over a conference in Islamabad today to discuss the creation of the Pakistan Sovereign Wealth Fund. In order to maximise leverage and improve management of Government of Pakistan assets in the nation in accordance with international standards, policies, and practises, the draught bill for the establishment of the Pakistan Sovereign Wealth Fund was discussed at the meeting. The Public Finance Management Act of 2019 permits the creation of the fund. The draught law was finalised at the meeting, the technical issues were discussed, and it was sent to the Ministry of Law and Justice for review by solicitors and any additional necessary action.
