IP rights crucial in achieving SDG : Jam Kamal

The significance of Intellectual Property (IP) Rights in promoting innovation, creativity, and the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the nation was underscored by Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan on Friday.The minister restated the government’s commitment to giving top priority to building a strong national intellectual property (IP) framework that encourages creativity and innovation in order to guarantee that all communities, particularly those who are marginalised, have fair access to IP’s advantages.Speaking at a seminar held in honour of World Intellectual Property Day (2024) and sponsored by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and the Intellectual Property Organisation (IPO), the minister stated that Pakistan was endowed with an abundance of natural resources and that it was necessary to direct and streamline these resources.
