Attaullah Tarar, the minister of information and broadcasting, dismissed the opposition leader’s claims of forced voting during the 26th constitutional amendment on Tuesday and urged him to handle internal strife inside the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He was speaking at the sixth session of the 10th National Assembly, which began with the Holy Quran being recited. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly, presided over the meeting.
In response to Omar Ayub, Tarar stated that the 26th Constitutional Amendment took two and a half months to complete.
Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman requested that the Constitutional Amendment Bill be postponed until after the SCO summit. All major parties contributed to the consensus-based text, he noted.
