The Pakistan Army reaffirmed on Wednesday its concerns regarding militants’ exploitation of Afghan territory, citing an increase in terrorist infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghan border as well as terror attacks planned from the neighbouring country.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “terrorists from Afghanistan attempt to infiltrate through Pak-Afghan border and target security forces as well as the innocent civilians.”
The statement also provided information about the army’s counterterrorism operations, including those that have been underway since April 21 in the Zhob district of Balochistan, particularly in the Sambaza area.
Up to 29 terrorists have been neutralised as a result of the operations, according to the army’s media department.
