Imran Khan lacks courage to face masses: Marriyum Aurangzeb

 

ISLAMABAD:On Monday, Marriyum Aurangzeb, the minister of information and broadcasting, claimed that Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), would never stand before the people because he was aware that it was during his time as prime minister that 20 million people fell below the poverty line and six million lost their jobs. In response to Imran Khan’s Labor Day rally, the minister tweeted, “Foreign Funded Sazishi Fitna is himself addressing from the car and using canister for his security, but on the other hand, his workers are facing heat while walking in hot weather.” Imran Khan received harsh criticism from her for being “shameless” and “insensitive” to his workers who had been working in inclement weather while their leader was seated in his car.

Marriyum said Imran Khan could and would not come out of his car as he knew what the labourers had faced during his government’s tenure.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday congratulated Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb and the PTV team on successfully launching the PTVFlix.

“Congratulations to Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb on this achievement & full marks to the officials involved in this project from MoIB & PTV.& full marks to the officials involved in this project from MoIB & PTV,” he said in a tweet.

The prime minister said the launch of PTVFlix was a great initiative and it would enrich PTV’s content, which had touched the lives of countless Pakistanis over the decades.

“This content will now be accessible to overseas Pakistanis as well,” he said.

Moreover, Chief Organizer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz Monday commended the launch of the PTV Flex app and congratulated the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb, on its release.

Maryam Nawaz has underlined the importance of the PTV Flex app in enabling overseas Pakistanis to access PTV’s outstanding content with ease.

Additionally, she  stressed the need to preserve and provide access to the finest programs and dramas from the past for the younger generation.

Maryam Nawaz believed that it was of utmost importance to safeguard and make available the finest programs and dramas from the past for the benefit of the younger generation.
