Imran Khan, Bushra bibi convicted in £190m Al-Qadir Trust case

In the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case, former premier Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were found guilty on Friday. The PTI founder received a 14-year prison sentence, while his wife received a seven-year sentence.
In a temporary courtroom at Adiala Jail, Judge Nasir Javed Rana delivered the verdict, which had been postponed three times. Additionally, Imran and Bushra were fined Rs1 million and Rs500,000, respectively, by the court. The court stated that Imran and Bushra would be imprisoned for an additional six months and three months, respectively, if they did not pay the fines.
The ruling states that, in accordance with Section 10(a), the Federal Government would get the property of the “sham trust, Al-Qadir University Project Trust.”
