ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb Monday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan considered his supporters as “mentally handicapped persons”.
She said in a statement responding to Imran Khan’s address that the PTI leader had a habit of blowing hot and cold and insulted his supporters by saying such things. Whether it be the judiciary, the United States, or national institutions, the minister claimed Imran Khan’s “style of doing politics” involved abusing someone one day and forgiving them the following day.
She claimed that the way Imran Khan came to power was a clear “violation of the law.” During his time in office, the “rule of the jungle” prevailed rather than the “rule of the law”. She questioned whether Imran Khan had upheld the law when he ordered Pakistan’s then-president, governor (Punjab), speaker, and deputy speaker of the National Assembly to violate the Constitution. When “foreign agents, thieves, liars, hypocrites, and money launderers” like Imran Khan were removed from office, she continued, the nation attained true freedom.
