New date announced for Grammy awards 2022
The recording academy and broadcaster CBS said in a statement Tuesday that the Grammy Awards have been rescheduled for April 3 in Las Vegas because they were postponed due to COVID-19 epidemics.
The Grammy Awards, in honor of the top performances in music, were scheduled for January 31 in Los Angeles.
Comedian Trevor Noah will host the ceremony, which will be televised and broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Nominations for the awards were announced in November. Pianist and band leader Jon Batiste has led a range from rap to jazz music and embraced newcomers from teen pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo to veteran singer Tony Bennett, 95, who won first his Grammy in 1963.
The CMT country music awards, which were set for April 3, will take place later in April, CBS said.
