On Thursday, Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, the Minister for Power Division, announced that, per the Prime Minister’s orders, a detailed plan had been outlined to implement extensive changes in the nation’s power industry, with the goal of reducing power theft, excessive billing, and circular debt.
Speaking at a pressing conference, he said that after taking over the ministry, the power sector’s shortcomings were examined in order to address persistent problems.
He went on to say that the administration was dedicated to improving the energy industry.
He reaffirmed that power pilferers would not be given any leeway, regardless of their standing or rank, and he added that overbilling would not be allowed under any circumstances.
A strong plan had also been developed to end the threat of power theft in the nation. He stated.
