Govt to bring reforms in key areas to provide relief to masses: minister

Sardar Awais Ahmad Leghari, the federal minister of energy, declared on Tuesday that the government would implement changes in important sectors to solve problems that the general public faces.In an interview with the media, he declared that in order to lessen the financial strain on the national exchequer, we will take concrete steps to end power theft.Regarding Pakistan’s solar net metering policy, he made it clear that the government would consult with all relevant parties before making a final decision. He also mentioned that solarization was promoted by the PML-N-led government in 2017 and that there are already 113,000 connections on the net.The government supports the continuance of the programme and is prepared to revisit the solar net metering policy if needed, he continued.
